Welcome to our first ever International ET Newsletter! We have been procrastinating about this for ages now to get the prototype started and if you are reading this then it is now up and running. When we first decided that we wanted to create this major project we had no idea of its the complexity. Unlike ET it has not been simple. But here we are, we have both feet firmly on the road and even though there will be many obstacles and learning curves to overcome we are on our way at last.
The fact is we are a global identity. We may be in comparison to many International Corporations a very small cottage industry but at last we are becoming a listened to voice throughout the equine world. The focus behind this ET newsletter is to not only help to make that voice stronger but to keep each and every one of you up to date with what’s happening in our Equine Touch world.
Our plan for the immediate future is to have an international web site system where anyone can immediately find their country, their instructors, courses and also their latest national news with interesting case studies and up-to-date factions of interest. Browsers can click on www.theequinetouch.com and select any country whose site they wish to peruse and be immediately transferred to that location. We will let you know as each stage comes on line. Australia is up and running.
As this plan comes to fruition you will also be able to click on the leads on this ET newsletter and be immediately taken to the News page of your national web site, or any other News page that you wish to visit. We will do our best to get this newsletter out to you on as regular a basis as possible but as you will appreciate being on the road 24/7 sometimes makes it impossible. In the meantime please enjoy.
Jock and Ivana

After years of interest from the Far North, Jock actually got time in to open ET in Canada. Former Parelli Instructor and natural horse woman Chris Adderson of Chase, BC hosted the first Canadian clinic ever. It was an outstanding success, with both Chris’s daughters joining the class. Its always a great feeling to see new countries open and watch the impact that Equine Touch has on the students as they see its effects for the first time.
With the pioneering begun we can now seriously look at Canada as being a permanent part of the ET education circuit. If you know of any potential hosts up there please ask them to get in touch with us at equinetouchinc@aol.com

UK AND A WHOLE NEW BEGINNING
The European summer season with Jock and Ivana ended on a major high with a packed Level 3 and 4 Symposium at Bristol Horse world. Since August the founders and the UK Instructor Guild have been working at modernizing and updating the UK system, proactively taking it forward with a new National Coordination Center, new systems and a professional approach at caring for and looking after the Equine Touch in the UK. Over the past few years Lyn and Jack Palmer have done a fabulous job of caring for ET at all levels, but with the growth that has been experienced not only in the UK but in Europe and with 12 instructors now operating and more already signed up for the 2008 Instructor Clinic it is too much to expect any instructor and practitioner who is as busy as Lyn to handle the demands that the new situation will require. After much consideration ETF and the founders have appointed Adele Neighbour to the post of Manager of the UK National Coordination Center. Adele, Lara’s sister presented an excellent resume and is very aware of the Equine Touch and its mission statement and goals.

LONDON POLICE TO WEST AUSTRALIAN POLICE
Last month Carly Jarrett a London Metropolitan Police Officer and new instructor made the national press in the UK as ‘The Force Whisperer’ creating a high level of interest there.
Just last week Linda Yoxall in WA forwarded us the news that for the past three weeks she has been working on the horses of the Mounted Police and now they are very interested in holding a course where their officers will learn ET so that they may maintain their own horses in the high standard of balance that ET brings about. We already have one practitioner working on the City of London Police Horses, and Jock and Ivana spent a day looking at the London Metropolitan police horses. If any horse group in the world needs ET, it is these horses. The continual walking and standing on concrete for many hours at a time creates all sorts of injuries and problems that ET is an excellent tool to address.
