Issue 8 - 2010

Its a sad week up on the mountain. Spike did not make it. Poor wee hedgehog developed respiration problems after two weeks of nursing, so alas she is now buried under the tree where we first found her. Ivana is feeling quite despondent as she was building a real bond with the wee one. They are so interesting and so friendly once they know you will not harm them.

I am just preparing to take off back to Australia on Wednesday to hold an advanced VHT clinic as well as a VHT for Family and Friends on Saturday. Then on the Sunday we have a Layering and Prescription Clinic at Macedon Ranges, before jumping on the red eye flight back to New Zealand. By the way please excuse any distortions in the newsletter - when it leaves me it is perfect, however the internet universe is strange indeed, only childern and strange people seem to understand what is going out there and why differentsystems want to change that which should not be changed. So for you who get the newsletter exact - fantastic - for those who recieve it distorted - I hope sorry will do.

HORSES, SPIRITUAL ANIMALS ON ANOTHER PLANE - OR WOO WOO ENERGY RECEIVERS?

Last year I was teaching a master class up in Colorado at Raian Kaisers and I was demonstrating a neutral, negative and positive approach to muscle testing on a horse. This exercise involves muscle testing a surrogate with one hand on the horse and showing how the condition of the mind of the tester has a powerful influence upon the testing results. so all muscle testing must be done from a neutral foundation. In order for me to demonstrate the weakening of the surrogate on this occasion I stepped behind the surrogate and concentrated on very negative, dominant aggressive thoughts aimed at the surrogate. Raian was standing a few yards away with her Appi, the second I started the horse went bug-eyed and shot nervously behind Raian. When I then demonstrated the opposite with nice thoughts, to make the surrogate go super powerful the horse wandered out from behind Raian, immediately started to relax, chewing and lowering its head. What did it pick up?

This question of has been brought even more into my life as I sit on the porch and watch our horses. Across the road some 300 yards away is a barn. The local farmer will put down his own 'home kill' in that barn. there is no sound, nothing to indicate that another creature is going to lose its life. Nothing can be seen, yet at that precise moment the horses stop feeding and stand like statues staring at the barn. They do not move, just stand there, staring at the barn. I had noticed the same behavior last year when another farmer shot a steer, on a neighboring farm, but I thought at the time it was only the sound of the shot that had that effect on them, even although the kill was out of sight. But this was different - only silence.

If they are picking up something that we don't, then it makes me think how horrific life must be for these poor horses who are source as food for Lions, pets and humans as they wait and feel what is happening to their brothers and sisters.

If you have any 'woo woo' (© Raian Kaiser) stories you would like to share with this newsletter's readers please send it to me. I have tons of them but would love to hear from others of their experiences as I am sure all horse lovers would. There is a book there somewhere! The Equine X Files. I know you all have them so I look forward to reading your stories.

LETTER FROM WENDY IN GERMANY

I have so many people pressuring me about Equine Touch every day that I sometimes feel a little overwhelmed. I need time to find my own feet with ET in this country. I know that Ivana and you probably understand better than most - doing everything in another language and in a country that is not yours by birth makes everything a lot more difficult. Regardless of all of this I am working with so many horses at the moment it makes it all worth while. I see this stage as my ET Marketing as the people always can't believe that I don't charge. I just tell them that the charge is just for them to spread the word if they think I am doing a good job and that ET is something good. All I can say is that it is working. Everyday I have more people phoning - from all over Germany. So slowly, horse by horse, I am sending the word out.
I have also recently gone through some sort of barrier (for lack of a better word). I think you can call it a confidence barrier. Every horse I touch falls asleep. I find this so wonderful as in the beginning I wasn't always so consistent - I suppose it comes with practice - as you said Jock. My Aikido and Tai Chi are obviously also working. I have another trick - when I find that the owner / riders energy is distracting me (which I have mentioned happens quite a lot for me here) I always have my i-pod with Classical music that I have selected that brings my heart rate down. The horses love it - I know that they can hear it even though I have earphones - and the two of us go into a lovely ET trance that sort of drowns out the other persons energy. I just obviously explain before that I need to concentrate on the horse and I will answer all questions later. One of the scary people was so gob smacked afterwards that she admitted that if she had not been there she would have sworn that I had given her horse a sedative!

LETTER FROM EVA IN DENMARK

A 23 year old mare - used only to make foals - leader of the herd of mares. She has always been moody, has never socialized with the other mares, has ticked any mare off if she came too close, disliked the stallion on the neighboring field etc. The mare is pregnant - she receives two sessions (with one week between each) three months before foaling. Owner calls me a week later to say that the mare has changed emotions radically: very social, welcomes mares returning to the field, she plays up to the stallion next door, nudges with the other mares, is happy etc.
Same mare develops an edema on her stomach four days before foaling. She receives one more session. As I leave the owner tells me that the mare usually has bad edema a couple of months before foaling. She also informs me that she always has difficult births lasting several hours and that she always must have help with the afterbirth.
The following day (17 hrs after ET) the owner calls me to say that the mare has foaled within minutes and that the afterbirth was delivered within minutes too. The best birth ever. All this happened 12 hrs after ET three days earlier than expected.

Could ET have made birth easier/better/smoother?
Could ET three months prior to birth have postponed edema?
Could ET have changed her every day emotions?
YES! I believe that! I know it!
Could ET have pushed birth the three days? I don't know ......I did not touch her stomach or STL!

Comment from Jock and Ivana: Yes the relaxation caused by ET has had a recorded effect on many births, making them fare easier physically and emotionally as well as helping address placenta retention problems. Good girl love the enthusiasm and pride for ET in your letter.

QUESTION AND ANSWER

Q: I find that I am always doing the BBB + AOC - I feel like I am not giving the horses the full benefit by just doing the ABB. I like to see the processing or something like that - but no matter how hard I try I find that I can't move any faster. Is that OK? The only down side I see is that I can only do a limited number of horses which I suppose in itself if not a bad thing - Wendy

A:Been there, done that and asked myself exactly the same questions on many occasions. Equine Touch is an emotional discipline, when we want to help some horse or human very often our emotions take over and we want to see a result in front of our eyes. That is a bonus, a little 'high' for us to encourage ourselves. We all want to see the 'fix'. We want to know that we have helped. We want to feel that we have addressed, with a positive result, the area of concern. It is only human, but if you do not see them do not worry, the fact that you are working with the correct intent on the horse is all that we are about. When I first started years ago, I had no idea what processing was, never looked for it, just did the work and went home. Then people started telling me the horse was processing when it did certain things, that was wonderful until one stopped reacting, then all of a sudden my confidence and ego went through the floor, that was until I found out that some horses do - some horses don't, especially in front of you or the handler. Don't worry about rushing through, just take your time. The horse will tell you what speed to work at. Its all about the harmony and the flow of the work, and if you are worried about not doing enough work, or not working fast enough then you are setting up a negative base to work from, not a neutral one. Do the work, use your head, heart and hands - and in that order, and when you have done enough - Walk Away! You did great!
